Physical punishment is associated with the intellectual level of children

A study prepared by American researchers informs us about the existing relationship between the intellectual level of children and physical punishment that can be given. Apparently, children who have a greater degree of intellectuality acquired through books or educational games have parents who rarely use physical punishment.

The study also suggests that the frequency with which parents physically punish their children can determine the intellectual degree that the child acquires.

To reach this conclusion, the data belonging to 800 children were used, among these data were aspects such as the religion they processed, the family economy, the age of the child and the mother and even the number of punishments that the children suffered for parents. The education presented by the mother or her age are not determining factors as a cause of physical punishment, nor were they determining factors neither the area of residence nor the economic status of the family. However, according to the study, the religion practiced by parents can determine that there are more or less punishments.

What all parents should know is that the more intellectual stimuli children are given, the better their behavior is, and that physical punishment is not a solution, it is not beneficial to either party, it is necessary to be aware of the damage real that produces physical punishment, which also causes psychological damage, much harder to correct but very easy to avoid.
