Monster Messenger, a 'Whatsapp' safe for the little ones

For better or worse, WhatsApp has broken into our lives and children are no stranger to this new way of communicating with others. From 10-12 years old there are already children who integrate WhatsApp groups with friends or classmates, with the obvious concern that this generates in parents.

With the idea of providing a secure messaging system for the little ones was born Monster Messenger, an application created by eduPad, Inc. specifically for children, but with anti-harassment policy and greater parental controll.

In Spain, 14 years are the minimum age to be part of social networks, but Monster Messenger is ideal for children.

Parents can configure their use on different devices and, unlike WhatsApp, it will always be the parents who will approve or reject the invitations they receive from other people. That is, no person can get in touch with their children without their knowledge.

Also, if they notice something weird, parents can automatically block a contact, but cannot access their children's conversations. They can only read them by email to the company.

For the rest, it works as a messaging system with which they can send messages, photos, audios, stickers or emojis that children like so much.

Monster Messenger is a free app And it has no advertising. At the moment, available only for iphone and iPad and soon available on Google Play.

Although for practicality (or for not knowing another messaging system) the Whastapp is the first option, if you have children under 14 who want to start communicating with other people, it may be an interesting, more secure and controlled previous step.
