Accessories for baby's room (III): For parents

Once we have the baby safe and entertained, it is time to start choosing the accessories of the room that will make our life (and child care) easier. I want you to accompany me looking for the most sensible options but do not lose sight of the fact that, in the smallest room, less is more, and anything that makes it difficult for you to quickly attend to the little one, it is better to discard it.

When you decide to purchase any of the products that I mention later, the first thing you have to ask yourself is if you really need it, if you have space to put it and if it fits your budget. If the answer is no, you better discard it and opt for more traditional substitutes, of which surely there were in your parents' house when you were children. An element that is present in many baby rooms is the diaper bag where we can have on hand the diapers that we will be using as the child makes his needs. They are usually made of cloth and carry children's motifs as you see in the photograph that heads this post. In my opinion, a diaper bag is a good gift for some new parents because they have to have the baby's hygiene items always at hand, not only diapers, but also the wipes and creams used during the change. Also, remember that there are travel models, very transportable for the child's room.

A bin or a place where throw away diapers It will be very helpful for you to put it near the child's changing table, so that the diapers can be thrown away as soon as you have used them. When it comes to getting one, you have to make sure that it has a lid, so that the bad smells do not escape. Remember that you have to empty it often so as not to accumulate diapers, not only because it is a type of garbage that bulges a lot, but also smells very bad.

Finally, I wanted to talk about another element that is between decoration and hygiene. I'm talking of course of humidifier, to which Lola dedicated a post some time ago in which he explained the differences between a humidifier and a vaporizer. When choosing the most suitable one, remember that the humidifier uses distilled water and that it does not create steam by heating it, which gives you an extra security while there is a possibility that the fungi grow inside, while if you you opt for a vaporizer, you will find that it expels hot steam, with the risk of burning that entails. These are especially useful now in winter when the heating is on almost all day, which dries the environment.

Among the most modern humidifier options, is Chicco, which relies on ultrasound to distribute water in the air.
