Next weekend will take place in Madrid the international fair DIYShow, "Do It Yourself", something that lately is very fashionable with that striking name but that becomes the "handmade by yourself" of a lifetime. I was struck that at the DIY Fair there are multiple workshops for children.
Because in the "Mom I want to be an artist" section there are workshops for young and old, from cooking or weaving to languages and video game design. Most workshops cost 10 euros and there is also some free demonstration.
The DIY Show is a space where the amateur community meets to make creative crafts, but also in the field of new technologies and not only traditional. These are some of the activities that have attracted my attention for the kids (you can check the full list here):
- Robotics with Lego (workshop for parents and children)
- Journey to the Roman Empire (children four to eight years old)
- Yoga for children (four to ten years old)
- Make your cookies (four to eight years old)
- Playing with emotions (four to eight years old)
- Chiquirritmo (from three to six years, where the children will develop body expression, through psychomotor, music and dance exercises)
- We knit with your hands (four to six years old) ...
Workshops for children at the DIY international fair They will take place, like the whole event, from November 7 to 9 at the Hotel Silken in Puerta de América, Teresa Sapei car park, in Madrid. Will many small artisans and artists leave here?
