Planning summer vacations already? A few days ago we shared five motorhome routes to do with children without leaving our country: coastal, indoor and mountain routes for all tastes. And today, we want to get closer five travel proposals for Europe For the more adventurous families.

Route through the castles of the Loire

With this route that we propose below you will discover the architectural majesty of the castles of the Loire, its manicured gardens and its hidden treasures, through a unforgettable trip through the splendid landscapes of the Loire Valley, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

They are 22 the castles that you can discover on this wonderful and amazing route, which will start in the Nantes region and end in Orléans. In total, something more than 330 km along the Loire River to enjoy its charming villages, its vineyards, its landscapes and its imposing fortresses.

On the Camping France website you can find about thirty campsites located along this route, where you can rest and spend the night. Some, such as the Les Alicourts Resort, Le Chateau des Marais or L'Etang campsite are authentic natural paradises amidst this unique environment.

Route through Portugal: from Lisbon to Cabo de San Vicente

On the AutoC website we have seen this wonderful route of 400 km along the coast of Portugal, which begins in the magical city of Lisbon and ends at the imposing cape of San Vicente.

Once we arrive in Lisbon, we can leave the motorhome in the motorhome parking area of ​​the port area, near the emblematic Plaza del Comercio, and spend the day enjoying one of the most welcoming and charming European cities.

In Lisbon there is much to see, so we advise to spend the night in one of the many campsites that are around, such as the Lisbon campsite, the Vale Paraíso campsite or the Orbitur Sao Pedro de Moel campsite.

Our trip will continue to the cities of Sintra and Cascais, two unique enclaves of forced visit before heading south, towards the towns of Portimão and Sagres, in the Portuguese Algarve. Coast and sea, nature, and cultural tourism are the main assets of this unforgettable route.

Along our way we can find numerous campsites to stay in, such as the Park Serrao campsite, the Milfontes campsite, or the great Armação de Pêra campsite, all of them by the sea.

Route through Italy: from Rome to Venice

Sardinia route: from north to south

To get there it is necessary to take the ferry that leaves from Barcelona and arrives in Porto Torres, after 12 hours of navigation. Porto Pino, Cagliari, Bosa, Alghero, Stintino and La Pelosa are some of the sites that we propose to visit from this website.

Sardinia is a spectacular place to travel in summer since it offers a wide variety of leisure plans, and all of them perfect to enjoy with children: blue beaches, inland villages full of charm and an amazing island culture to discover.

And we don't want to say goodbye to our report of routes in Europe without recommending the star route for any child: a trip to Disneyland Paris by motorhome, which will depart from Barcelona and will have an approximate distance of 1,000 km.

On our trip we will take the opportunity to get to know the city of Toulouse, the Dordogne-Périgord regions, -which will fascinate us by its castles, medieval villages and prehistoric sites declared World Heritage by UNESCO-, and the Tarn region, which will captivate us for their medieval buildings and their nature.

Other mandatory stops on our route are the city of Bourges, which will leave us speechless with its imposing cathedral declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and of course, Paris, where we can spend several days before visiting Disneyland Park.

France is a country perfectly prepared for campers and motorhomes, so as in the route of the Loire Castles that we have proposed at the beginning, along this route you will find an endless number of areas enabled to spend the night with the motorhome, as well as numerous campsites specially designed for a holiday in family.

Upon arrival in Disneyland you can leave the motorhome in a parking lot located next to the vehicle, and enjoy all the services offered by this area with privileged views of the Sleeping Beauty Castle, which will surely delight the little ones.
