Unfortunately there are also sleeves, floats, boats, etc. dangerous and it is necessary to keep it in mind so that when buying it, we do not look at the pocket, but the safety of our children.
The Directorate General of consumption of Valencia has forced to withdraw dozens water toys considered dangerous, items that are not approved and that offer no guarantee of security.
When buying one of these items we must observe that you specify the age of the children to whom it is intended and if it is indicated for the pool or the beach. As beautiful as a float seems to us, we must assess whether it is safe from the simplest, for example, the valves should not go loose, as the child could swallow it. Those floats in which the child introduces the legs, can increase the risk of accident, water toys are very easy to dump in the water and if the child has the little legs stuck in two holes, it will certainly go wrong.
Also, keep in mind that a float is not a lifeline. It is surprising, but we have even seen children who put the sleeves and the float and so the parents are left lying on the towel while the child bathes. This is intolerable, we should never separate from our son while we are in the pool or on the beach no matter how much float he carries.
Summer and the activities it provides us are to enjoy, so we must not skimp on the safety of our children in an environment that is not controlled and that each year causes more than 100 child deaths in our country.
