Healthy recipes for children: macaroni with Bolognese sauce

We continue with healthy and appetizing recipes for kids. Today is the turn of one of the star dishes and that is among the preferred by children: Macaroni with Bolognese sauce.

The ingredients What we need are: 100% veal minced meat (healthier than if we ordered mixed, that is, veal and pork), macaroni, crushed natural tomato sauce, onion, garlic, olive oil, salt, oregano, white wine and laurel.

The preparation It is simple, the first thing is to prepare the minced meat, to do this in a source we put the meat and we put salt and crushed garlic, with the well washed hands we mix everything until a homogeneous mass is left and we reserve it.

In a saucepan we boil water with salt, bay leaf and a drizzle of olive oil that will prevent the macaroni from sticking. We cook them until they are al dente or to our liking. We drain the water, although there are people who like to pass them through cold water so that they are loose, in my opinion it seems that they lose flavor and texture. We leave them apart for later.

On a table, chop the onion and sauté over low heat with a little olive oil. Once we have the onion well poached, we throw the crushed tomato with a pinch of oregano and sugar to kill the acidity and let it cook, it is convenient that the tomato is very well crushed so that there are no lumps.

Then we add the minced meat and cook while stirring so that it is well loose, when it is almost done, add a little white wine and wait for the alcohol to evaporate. We cook everything over low heat. When the sauce is finished, add the macaroni and stir everything to mix well with the Bolognese. Remove from heat, cover the saucepan and let stand about half an hour to mix the flavors.

For its ingredients, this dish enters what would be the Mediterranean diet. Macaroni is a rich source of carbohydrates, meat gives protein and also take vegetables such as tomatoes and onions with multiple properties.

For all this, it is a complete and balanced recipe. If we also accompany you with a salad and a piece of fruit As a dessert, it is a very healthy meal. We hope you like the recipe, especially the kings of the house.
