The Land Rover Defender made with Lego parts by a Spanish engineer

Our companions of Passion Engine have brought us a replica of the recognized British SUV with a 1: 8.5 scale reproduction performed entirely with LEGO products. So 1 centimeter of the model equals 8.5 centimeters of the real size. It is 52 centimeters long, 22 wide and 23 high. It weighs 3.1 kilograms. In Passion Motor they have been very attracted, and it is normal, not only for the months of work in which they have been used 2,800 pieces and components but inside it "roars" an engine full of details and which can also be seen in operation in the video.

The car moves by radio control by seven engines. It also includes a five-speed gearbox and reverse with an almost automatic clutch. The author of the work is a Madrid engineer named Fernando that he has a frantic activity with LEGO and that unites his passion for the blocks of the Defender vehicle. It has a very complete website and also offers the option to download a lot of material to build your own designs, for example, it has gearboxes, suspension types, etc.

Below you can see how the video presentation of the vehicle is.

Fernando's design is in Cuusoo, a crowdsourcing page we talked about here a long time ago. The objective is to promote, outsourcing talent and voluntary participation, the joint and massive creation of a number of people. Fernando has many votes, mine included, so if you want to cheer up, he will be delighted, sure, that LEGO is encouraged to develop the toy. Think how much would you pay for him because it is one of the questions that are asked. I imagine Fernando's is priceless.
