We have received information about Peques and Más from the publication in Spain of the works of the Meerkat Ninjas. These are four very hairy characters:
- Jet Feet Raudos: a super fast ninja whose only defect is his desire for glory, which he deserves so much.
- Chuck Matacobras: their undisputed leadership has taken chestnuts out of the fire more times than they can remember.
- Donnie Dragon Fist: brilliant, inventor and master of the strangest gadgets.
- Bruce, Willow Deck: the strongest of the band, although in an intelligence test it would be left a little behind.
The four Ninjas have been created by writer and screenwriter Gareth P. Jones. It is already possible to get them in Spain through the Maeva Young publishing house. The two works that can be obtained are The Clan of the Scorpion and The Amulet of Shaolin. They are books for kids between 7 and 9 years old, with illustrations and as you can see in the video, Even with a rap! (although they are in English and are called Ninja Meerkats)
The series is expected to have continuity. The author has already published five titles, each set in an exotic destination like Hong Kong, India, United States, etc.
The Scorpion Clan is made up of four brave warriors, whose strength and power have nothing to envy to those of any ninja. The Meerkats will play their lives to save the world from their sworn enemy, the Master of Ceremonies, sinister character who runs a maleficent circus of bugs, and intends to bend the entire world. In The Amulet of Shaolin the ninjas are called by the Supreme karateka Dalai Llama because they have stolen an Indian emerald with ancestral powers.
Gareth P. Jones is a children's screenwriter and writer for children and youth. He is from Britain and his latest youth novel, The Considine Curse, has received the 2012 Blue Peter Award that is apparently awarded by a children's jury.
Surely the book is a surprise to many readers who can read something different from football, cars, pyramids and that is set in martial arts. I also found that the illustrations included in the book make it very attractive.
The publisher is Maeva Young and they have been published since October 2012. They are 13 x 20 centimeters in size and are published in paperback. He price of each book is 8.90 euros.
