Do you dare with these crispy Easter nests with chocolate and cereals?

I have not been able to resist sharing with you these delicious crunchy chocolate Easter nests that Liliana Fuchs presented a few days ago Direct to the Palate. And it is that we are already in spring and everything reminds us of life, so why not emulate the eggs that the birds put in carefully built nests?

It is an ideal dessert or snack to make with children and eat on these vacation days, since although they are made with chocolate and sugar candies (that translated are many empty calories), they also carry whole grains, which provide calcium and abundant fiber. Of course the proposal that I bring you is much easier to make than these typical desserts, although not so traditional. I will explain how to make them ...

Ingredients needed

  • 125 grams of good quality milk chocolate (with milk if it is for children because they like it better, and in adults you could resort to dark chocolate). Half a teaspoon of butter, 75 grams of whole grains, caramel eggs or covered chocolate dragees.

How to make our nests

First we will chop the chocolate and heat it to the 'mary in a small saucepan' bath, while melting gently add the butter. To have a creamy texture we can stir carefully using spatula, or wooden spoon.

Liliana tells us that after allowing to cool for a few minutes, we will chop the cereals with our hands (that there are no very small pieces left), and then we will place them in a bowl with chocolate over them.

We place small portions in paper capsules forming a nest with hole in the center. After having solidified, we can add caramel eggs or chocolate dipped in color.

The result is very curious, and they are very rich. Do you cheer up?
