Incomprehensible: a mother leaves her two-month-old baby home alone for two and a half hours

Somebody explain it to me because I can't understand it. It looks like the movie "Home alone", but horror. Sometimes we wonder how someone can leave a small baby locked in the car or alone at home, it seems impossible that a father can do something like that, but it is seen that there are people for everything.

It has happened in La Calzada (Gijón): a mother has left her two-month-old baby home alone for two and a half hours. Specifically, from 10:30 in the morning until one in the afternoon, because I had to leave and had no one to leave her, as she said.

This was justified before the police, warned by the girl's father, who is separated from the mother. Apparently he arrived at 12 to pick up the girl and found that she was crying and there was no one inside the house.

That he had no one to leave her with, he says. I can't think of any situation, anything fairly normal that a woman may have to do at 10 in the morning that she can't take with her daughter. A baby is not a 50 kg table that you cannot take with you everywhere. He is a person who has immediate needs that you must solve, and also weighs less than 5 kilos for sure. From the moment you are a mother, you assume that everything you will do from now on, including going to the bathroom, you will do with your son in tow. You get a cart, or better a scarf to go more comfortable to all sites, and go to whatever.

A two-month-old baby does nothing but sleep and eat, it's true. Maybe he left her freshly eating and sleeping and thought that nothing could happen to her not knowing how to walk, or climbing the cradle ... I mean, by guessing what could have crossed a mother's head that leaves a child of two alone months As if I had 24 months, it doesn't matter. Did you think maybe the father would arrive earlier? As if you were five minutes, it also doesn't matter.

Anyway, things i will never understand. I, who do not leave my daughters alone or to go to throw the garbage, news like this completely dislodges me. Maybe the woman is not in her right mind, she has depression, she is probably not mentally healthy, I don't know ... Fortunately, the girl is well and will be in charge of her father provisionally by court order.
